The marzipan orange swollen I received from my son's family at Christmas wàs just like I remember when. my mom made it, except that it was even better with the addition of the small amount of marzipan. My mom was German, and I am so happy to know there is a shop where I can get a taste of memories.

While Ingrid wasn't in when we were there, her husband was delightful! The shop.is so cute with many things to look at and buy. I bought some tea that was different, and I'm looking forward to that. A definite place to stop by and chat with the owners and browse.

Ingrids has been a favorite of mine for a LONG time. My grandmother came from Germany in her 30s and could only find her favorite things here. So I stopped by and got her some snacks fresh from Germany for her 97th Christmas. ❤ the liquor filled chocolates are her favorite. (And very strong) I will continue to get gifts for my granddaughter throughout the years as long as Ingirds is open.

Ingrid's has been around for 30 years first on main road in Hampden, Me then relocated as part of Sunnyside Florists at 117 Buck St Bangor Maine! They run a European farmers market year round on Saturdays from 8:30-12:30!! This brings farmers and cooks from all over to sell their food and local meats & cheeses & breads, doughnuts, pies, pastries! Also always beautiful flowers!! Depending on time of year also fresh vegetables! You can always find beautiful gifts from all over Europe along with Christmas decorations all year long! Really interesting books & cards along with delicious chocolates , cookies & other treats!! Also German meats like sausages & liverwurst and German breads!! This really feels like being in a small European market!! So worth the trip!!
